Created to brighten the window of @dandylinespg — the beloved shoppe that’s been blooming in our town for more than 30 years.

I’ve had the pleasure of creating window displays for them over the years, and it’s always an honour. This giant crepe paper peony now keeps company with the beautiful things inside.

Swipe through for a closer look — each petal cut, curled, and coaxed to life from rolls and rolls of @cartotecnicarossi paper, producers of fine Italian crepe since 1878.

This Friday and Saturday feel extra special: fresh market bundles of peonies from @tokenfloral (it’s like we planned it 😉), plus a little sale in the shoppe too. Not that you need an excuse — it’s always worth a visit. But you already knew that.

Each of these masks has been custom designed around the beautiful gown they’ll each be wearing. One is even for a very special little girl who I hope is over the moon excited.

Being a May baby and because they are absolutely precious and 100% give fairies are among us vibes, I’ve always been smitten with Lily of the Valley. I recently learned that they are an invasive weed and I say, bring them on! Also isn’t the different between invasive weed and wildflower that one is pretty? Anyway….

This was my test and I’ll 100% be making more of these to have available at Studio Fair this fall.

I have a big big project in my head and soul that I’m going to be working on for the next long time. Part of that requires me shaking myself up out of my normal perspectives on thinking about and creating out.

This weekend I challenged myself to a lovely drawing workshop with the so so talented @catsivertsen and sat in the woods, drew with sticks, and met new creatives.

I’ll be losing myself in the woods more! ♥️ 🌲 ♥️

I don’t know about you, but between the weather, the world and life I’ve been feeling down in the dumps. Then just like that my home is filled with flowers and the days are that must easier. Lighting candles, a little spritz of my favourite perfume and spending time with lovely people make the season just that much better.

I don’t know about you, but between the weather, the world and life I’ve been feeling down in the dumps. Then just like that my home is filled with flowers and the days are that must easier. Lighting candles, a little spritz of my favourite perfume and spending time with lovely people make the season just that much better.

Thank you to @tokenfloral for making my home happy in so many ways. These will most definitely be the subject of many a painting.

Was all set for a life drawing session last night that didn’t exist hahaha. So, I sat myself down, opened @pinterest, went down the rabbit hole and drew the pics that popped up.

Tools are everything. For the first couple sketches, me and the pencil were not feelin’ it. Switched to my @staedtler Mars technico and hit my groove.

These are for no reason whatsoever and sometimes that’s just the best.

Trying something. Right off the bat, I think I should have put the head at the top of the body, pointing up more because this might mean the tea pot can only be half full. Yup. Didn’t notice that until posting this video. Whelp. Next one will be better!

Some projects happen quietly behind the scenes so we just jump out from behind a door and yell “surprise!!!” Last night I had the chance to do just that with a lovely group of women going on a trip of a lifetime with @emilyjaneofficial.ca to Italy. The capstone event of their trip will be a masquerade dinner, and I’ve been creating bespoke masks and headpieces for what will be a truly memorable evening.

Knowing, though, that a wonderful cafe/bakery is maybe a lovely 15 minute stroll away and like, a real good shopping district max an hour away, and great online shopping deliveries still happening. Like come on, let’s be real here. We just want it all, k?
